How to Zip Visual Expert Log Files for Support

Visual Expert log files contain diagnostic information about application execution, background services, and analysis errors. When contacting the Visual Expert support team, these logs help identify issues quickly and accurately. This guide explains how to collect and compress the log files into a single archive for secure sharing.

Before You Begin

Step 1: Locate the Log Files

  • Open File Explorer.
  • Navigate to the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Novalys\VisualExpert\Log

Step 2: Create a Compressed Archive

  • Right-click the Log folder.
  • Select 7-Zip > Add to archive....
  • In the Add to Archive window:
    • Locate Split to volumes, bytes.
    • Enter 25M.
  • Click OK.

7-Zip will create one or more compressed files depending on the total size of the logs.

Step 3: Share the Archive

Attach all generated archive files to your email and send them to the Visual Expert support team.
