Shared Docs Use Cases

This article provides practical examples of how Shared Docs can be used to save results, share findings, and collaborate more efficiently inside VE Web.

Share an impact analysis result

An analyst runs an impact analysis, isolates the relevant content if needed, and shares the result with another user. The recipient can open the same result directly instead of recreating the same navigation steps.

Share a Code Inspection result for review

A reviewer identifies a relevant Code Inspection result and shares it with a developer or a team so they can review the same information from the same page context.

Save a result for later

A user finds a useful result during exploration and shares it as a document so it can be reopened later from the Shared module.

Share a result created from Code Explorer

A user creates a result in Code Explorer, keeps the Main view or creates a more focused subset view, and shares that result with others as a shared document.

Share documentation with other project members

A user opens an object documentation page and shares it with selected users or with project users so the same documentation can be reviewed in the web interface.
