Waiting Room for Users | Visual Expert
Overview
The Waiting Room for Users feature in Visual Expert ensures fair and transparent license allocation when all available licenses are in use.
When the maximum number of active licenses is reached, additional users are automatically placed in a waiting queue. The Waiting Room interface allows users to:
- View their position in the queue
- Monitor active users
- Track license availability in real time
This improves visibility and reduces uncertainty when access is temporarily unavailable.
When Does the Waiting Room Appear?
The Waiting Room is displayed when:
- All available Visual Expert licenses are currently in use
- A new user attempts to launch VE Desktop or access VE Web
Users are automatically placed in the queue until a license becomes available.
Waiting Room – VE Desktop
The Waiting Room in VE Desktop displays real-time queue information and license usage status.
Waiting Room – VE Web
The VE Web Waiting Room provides the same functionality within the browser interface.
Interface Components
A – Queue Status
Displays the total number of users currently in the waiting queue and indicates your position relative to others (for example, 1/2 in queue). This helps users understand how many users are ahead of them.
B – Current Position
Shows your exact position in the waiting queue. This value updates automatically as users ahead exit and licenses become available.
C – Active Users List
Displays the list of users currently occupying Visual Expert licenses, including platform details. This provides transparency by showing who is actively using licenses while others are waiting.
How License Allocation Works
- Users are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
- When an active user exits Visual Expert, the next user in the queue automatically receives access.
- The queue updates in real time.
