Download List for Restricted Access Environment
Overview
When working with Visual Expert in a restricted access environment, direct internet connectivity may not be available. In such cases, it becomes necessary to manually download and provide the required components, updates, and dependencies on the Windows server to ensure smooth installation and operation. This document lists the essential files and resources that need to be downloaded in advance, helping administrators prepare their environment effectively.
Required Packages to Download
Download the following packages and copy them to the Windows Server:
- Visual Expert Desktop: Contact your VE representative
- Visual Expert Web: Contact your VE representative
- .NET Hosting Bundle: Download Hosting Bundle (from Microsoft)
- ASP.NET Core Module: Download ASP.NET Core Module (from Microsoft)
- Desktop Runtime: Download Desktop Runtime (from Microsoft)
Post-Download Installation Steps
- Open Control Panel → Programs & Features → Add roles & features.
- For Windows 10 and 11, click on ‘Turn Windows features On or Off’, follow the instructions, and enable the required features.
Firewall Settings Recommendation
It is advisable for administrators to allow the following URLs in their firewall settings to ensure smooth communication:

- https://*.novalys.net/
